The Westminster Democratic Town Committee (WDTC) welcomes registered Democrat and independents or non-voters whose politics lean progressive to become members or affiliated with us just be involved in our activities. A key benefit of being a WDTC member is you can vote on committee business during monthly meetings.
To become a member, you:
Must be a registered Democrat in the town of Westminster, Massachusetts
Contribute $35 annually for dues.
Attend Committee meetings once a month (if possible) at the Senior Community Center in the evening to plan for the next month(s).
Attend Committee meetings once a month (if possible) with regional Democratic committees to jointly plan and discuss issues.
Not everyone is able to, nor wants to, participate in all types of WDTC activities. The following are among the opportunities for you:
Hold signs at standouts
Create marketing and other materials in support of the WDTC
Help with publicity (social media, blog, email listserv, and print/digital media promotions)
Distribute requested lawn signs
Follow and report on relevant federal, state, and local news coverage
Photograph WDTC events
Attend regional and online training sessions
Support WDTC membership by recruiting like-minded friends, neighbors, and family
Follow WDTC on social media and support the content with reactions and shares
Receive information about events hosted by WDTC and partners as well as relevant political news
Please note that the WDTC is affiliated with Indivisible groups in the area to defeat the Republican 2025 agenda, but focuses primarily on identifying and promoting the viable candidacy of local Democrats. Participation in an Indivisible group is not required by the WDTC, but it is encouraged.
